Seniors Club
East Hunsbury Seniors Club began in December 2016 when the parish council hosted a Christmas Lunch at The Collingtree pub for over 65's living in the parish. More than 20 seniors attended that lunch and all of them were keen to attend a regular club in the future, and so East Hunsbury Seniors Club was born!
We now hold regular events around East Hunsbury and coffee mornings are attended by over 60 members. Coffee mornings are held every other week and other events, expert speakers and trips are organised throughout the year.
Visit this page to find out what's coming up, or contact our Community Projects Officer to join the Seniors Club mailing list.
Meet your Seniors Reps
The Seniors Group is run with the help of many of the members, who volunteer to meet and greet, to research the trips and speakers, and who help to host Seniors events and meetings.

Coronavirus
We understand that members are concerned about the risk of Coronavirus, and we want to reassure you that the parish council are following the advice issued by the Government and Public Health England.
Our coffee mornings resumed in smaller groups in September at our partner venues, The Abbey Centre and The Collingtree Golf Club. If you are new to the group and wish to attend please contact community@easthunsburyparishcouncil.gov.uk for details of dates.
We hope to return to open access drop-in coffee morning from January 2022.
To receive a full list of 2022 dates please get in touch.
East Hunsbury Senior Strollers
East Hunsbury Seniors have set up their own walking group.
As we come out of restrictions, many of our residents are looking at how they can get out and meet up again.
The group is led by volunteer Pauline Niles, supported by our Parish Council Engagement Officer.
Participants need to be members of our East Hunsbury Seniors Club. Please find the Membership Form below to download, complete and return to us to register your place. Members must be aged 65 or over and be a resident in East Hunsbury.
When: The fourth Monday of the month
Where: Various starting locations – some in East Hunsbury, but others are further afield in the county
Time: Meet at 10.15am for registration and walk for roughly an hour – an hour and a half
Refreshments: If the walk ends near to a café or pub, the group stop for a beverage afterwards
HOW TO FIND OUT MORE:
Please email admin@easthunsburyparishcouncil.gov.uk
Your details will be passed to Pauline, our walk leader, and you will be updated with information about future walks.
Pauline will update you about the walks and the terrain etc.
The pace is moderate – a brisk walking pace, and strollers need to have a certain level of fitness to take part.
