M1 Junction 13 – Junction 16 smart motorway, upcoming weekend closure, Friday 10 to Monday 13 June
A reminder of the upcoming weekend closure on the M1.
The M1 northbound between junctions 15 to 15a will be closed for 56 hours from 9pm tonight Friday 10 June to 6am on Monday 13 June 2022. The closure will allow our engineers to resurface lanes two and three with low noise surfacing next to Collingtree village.

M1 Closure - 11th - 14th February 2022
On the evening of Friday 11th February at 21:00 to Monday 14th February 06:00 works will be carried out on M1 Junction 15 and this will be a full weekend closure.
These works are required to deliver the traffic switch on to the new alignment of the junction.
Works will be carried out in agreement with National Highways and Northamptonshire Council.

Notification of A45 closure - 15th January to 20th February
We have received notification of the A45 closures in place from 15th January until 20th February, to allow essential drainage works to be carried out.

M1 Closure - October 2021
The M1 between junctions 14 to 15 northbound will be closed for 56 hours from 9pm on Friday 22 October to 6am on Monday 25 October, while the motorway surface is lowered at Tongwell Lane Farm bridge near Newport Pagnell.

M1 Overnight Closures - May 2021
There will be overnight closures of the M1 between junctions 13 and 16 during May. This is for work to install overhead gantry structures to display electronic message signs and to install CCTV between junctions 13 and 14 and junctions 15 and 16.

Cadent gas emergency closure. Ditchford Road, Rushden
I write regarding the emergency closure implemented yesterday on Ditchford Road, Rushden by Cadent Gas. (the road over the River Nene, connecting the west of Rushden with Wellingborough and Irthlingborough)
We realise this is causing concern due to the planned full closure at the A6/A45 Chowns Mill roundabout this weekend.

Work starts on new pedestrian crossing - Penvale Road
Work starts on Monday 8th March to construct a new pedestrian crossing on Penvale Road, between the junctions of Hardwick Road and Avebury Way. The scheme will include a new dropped crossing point with belisha beacons, carriageway surfacing including anti-skid on crossing approaches and new road markings.
