Jubilee Coins presented to primary school children in the parish

This year, the Queen celebrates her Platinum Jubilee marking 70 years on the throne. Queen Elizabeth II will be the first British monarch to reach this milestone.

To commemorate this historic event, East Hunsbury Parish Council commissioned a Jubilee Coin to be given to every primary school child in the parish.

Just before half term and the fabulous Jubilee fete, the Chairman of the parish council, Cllr Claire Douglas, attended each of our local schools to present them with the Jubilee Coins.

It was lovely to see the children excited about this special event, and to provide them with a keepsake as a reminder of this special year!
